The works exhibited are based loosely on the three characters Urd, Verdandi, and Skuld, known as “The Norns'' from Norse mythology. The concept art includes character design as well as surroundings and props. The story follows the three sisters in their mortal lives before becoming the deities of fate. Urd who rules the past seeks revenge for their mother’s murder and Verdandi who oversees the present carries out the actions, influenced by her older and younger sister, that ultimately results in their demise. Both Urd and Verdandi are depicted as shield maidens. Skuld who foresees the future is blind and warns her sisters of ominous precognitive dreams, but her warnings are not heeded.

My goal as an artist is to bring film and fantasy to life. After studying a variety of mediums, I have begun to focus on concepts that are meant to inspire cinema. I’m drawn to capturing detailed and integral moments through my art. At this point in my work I have an eclectic approach influenced by personal narrative, history, and detailed/realistic styles. Whether the medium be traditional paints or digital they share a common goal.
