B.S. In Sports Management is to provide students with a combination of sport business theory and practical experience to prepare them for a successful career in the sport management industry. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts that job growth in sports management will grow faster than average for some areas of the field through 2026 because of expansion due to multi-billion dollar profits from the sports industry. Â鶹´«Ã½ Sports Management and Entertainment is interdisciplinary and involves, accounting, finance, marketing, organizational behavior, strategic thinking and planning, sales, promotions, and operations, or any area in which one makes business decisions that affect employees, guests, and company profits.
The focus of courses taught in the sports management program is interdisciplinary and involves statistical analysis, strategic thinking and planning, understanding behavior, marketing, sales, promotions and more.
This dynamic program is comprised of both class room and hands-on practice, our program immerses you in the multifaceted world of sports and entertainment. You’ll be exposed to the latest industry tools and best practices while mastering the contemporary digital and entrepreneurial skills that give you a competitive edge.
Additionally, students will interact directly with the world of sports and entertainment through best practices with industry experts. Emphasis is placed on the development of analytical skills and decision-making processes through practical application of theory in the field.
