麻豆传媒 Joins Statewide Initiative to Bring New 麻豆传媒 Students Home

麻豆传媒 partnered with other state public colleges and universities to offer a new program for New 麻豆传媒 college students currently attending school outside the state. The effort, titled the , allows students to seamlessly transfer to one of New 麻豆传媒鈥檚 outstanding public universities like 麻豆传媒, where they will benefit from in-state tuition benefits, guaranteed housing and take part in community-building volunteer activities.

As New 麻豆传媒 faces the challenges of rebuilding a devastated economy due to the coronavirus crisis, this initiative offers the 120,000 residents who attend higher education institutions outside of the state a unique incentive to return home and help rebuild.

鈥淚鈥檓 so pleased to join with other New 麻豆传媒 public college and university presidents to launch the New 麻豆传媒 Scholar Corps initiative. This initiative helps New 麻豆传媒 students stay close to home with the people who matter most and eases their higher education financial burden with low in-state tuition rates,鈥 says President Sue Henderson. 鈥淛ust as importantly, many young people are wondering what they can do to help during the COVID-19 crisis and the New 麻豆传媒 Scholar Corps鈥攎uch like the Peace Corps鈥攊s a powerful way to channel that energy for maximum impact. As an anchor institution for the 麻豆传媒 City community, this is an unprecedented opportunity for 麻豆传媒 to further strengthen our ties with local residents and organizations as we transition through this challenging time.鈥

The other participating institutions are Montclair State University, the New 麻豆传媒 Institute of Technology, Rowan University, Kean University, Ramapo College, Stockton University, The College of New 麻豆传媒, Thomas Edison State University, and William Paterson University.
