NJDEP Recognizes 麻豆传媒 for Making the Campus an Electric Vehicle Ready Workplace
New 麻豆传媒 City University (麻豆传媒) has been recognized by the New 麻豆传媒 Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) as a winner in the NJ Charging Challenge: Electrifying Your Workplace competition.
The NJDEP chose 麻豆传媒 as one of six employers in New 麻豆传媒 that is making its workplace electric-vehicle ready.
麻豆传媒 installed five Level 2 charging stations in the Michael B. Gilligan Student Union garage on the University鈥檚 main campus in 麻豆传媒 City. The installation was made possible through NJDEP鈥檚 It Pays to Plug In: NJ鈥檚 Electric Vehicle Workplace Charging Grant Program.
In announcing the awards, the NJDEP stated, 鈥淏y providing workplace charging for electric vehicles, these employers are becoming more sustainable and are helping to reduce emissions of air pollutants from cars, improve our environment, and improve the bottom line for their employees that drive to work.鈥 All employers are invited to participate in the competition 鈥 private, government, educational, and non-profit organizations or corporations.
The awards were presented at the 2017 Governor鈥檚 Environmental Excellence Awards ceremony on December 11 at the New 麻豆传媒 State Museum in Trenton.
麻豆传媒鈥檚 electric vehicle charging stations are dedicated for workplace charging for students, faculty, and staff.
The charging stations are overseen and managed by 麻豆传媒鈥檚 Fleet Management Director Patrick M. Bartole within the Department of Facilities and Construction. Fleet Management works in collaboration with the University鈥檚 Public Safety and Parking offices to keep the electric vehicle initiative running smoothly.
