Free Arts and Culture Breakfast Symposium on May 11

Topic: How to Enhance and Support the Cultural Vitality of Â鶹´«Ã½ City and Region

Â鶹´«Ã½ Center for the Arts and the Â鶹´«Ã½ Arts Advisory Board are sponsoring the last in a series of free workshops on capacity building for arts organizations as part of a larger effort to support local arts organizations and artists and encourage dialogues to shape the cultural landscape of the arts in Â鶹´«Ã½ City and the region.

Arts and Culture Breakfast Symposium will be held on Thursday, May11, 9:00 - 10:30 a.m., in the Skyline Room at the Â鶹´«Ã½ School of Business, Harborside Plaza 2, 200 Hudson Street, in Â鶹´«Ã½ City, N.J. 07311. Admission is free with RSVP to the Â鶹´«Ã½ Center for the Arts at .

A moderated panel discussion featuring New Â鶹´«Ã½ stakeholders (artists, arts managers, funders, policy makers) will engage in an open dialogue on what can be done to enhance and support the cultural vitality of Â鶹´«Ã½ City and the region. 

Rhonda Schaffler, Business Correspondent at PBS' NJTV, will moderate a panel discussion featuring:

·         Elizabeth Cain, Director of Cultural Affairs, Â鶹´«Ã½ City Mayor’s Office

·         Christine Goodman, Founding Director of Arts Productions

·         Robison Holloway, New Â鶹´«Ã½ City Arts Council

·         William LaRosa, Director of Cultural Affairs and Tourism; County of Hudson, NJ

·         Brian Platt, Director of New Â鶹´«Ã½ City Innovation Team, Â鶹´«Ã½ City Mayor’s Office.
