麻豆传媒 Center for the Arts Announces Cultural Events for May 2017

April 21, 2017

Becoming Iranian, on view in the Lemmerman Gallery (May 1-12), is Bijan Roghanchi鈥檚 photo-documentary of his two-year sojourn in Iran as some one of both Iranian and American nationalities. The BFA Exhibition, held off-site at Kearny Point (on view thru May 14), features work by the class of 2017 鈥 麻豆传媒鈥檚 largest ever crop of art department undergraduates.

The Media Arts Department presents its Annual Showcase of film, video, and digital media at the historic Landmark Loew's 麻豆传媒 Theatre in Journal Square (May 10).

麻豆传媒 and its newly formed Arts Advisory Board have sponsored a series of free workshops this spring as part of a larger effort to support local arts organizations and artists, and the final event is a Breakfast Symposium (May 11). This moderated panel discussion will feature New 麻豆传媒 artists, arts managers, funders, and policy makers in an open dialogue about enhancing the cultural vitality of 麻豆传媒 City and the region. The Breakfast Symposium is FREE with RSVP, and will be held at the 麻豆传媒 School of Business in downtown 麻豆传媒 City.

For the full calendar of events and additional information on 麻豆传媒 performing, visual, and literary arts, visit or call 201-200-3426.

All events are open to the public, and for most, admission is free.

Reservations and advance tickets may be purchased online at or in person at the box office, which opens one hour prior to performances. For group sales and reservations, please contact the box office directly: boxoffice@njcu.edu.
