Summary

Dr. Krista Welz is a Library Media Specialist in North Bergen High School, New Â鶹´«Ã½. She also teaches the Independent Scientific Research Honors course for the Science Department. Being a lifelong resident of her town, she also worked for the town's public library for seven years as the Children’s Librarian. She is a Google for Education Certified Trainer and Coach.

In 2017, she was awarded North Bergen High School's Educational Services Professional of the Year and Library Journal's 2017 Mover & Shaker Educator. In March 2017, she was awarded as a Tech Troubadour Social Media Superstar from the American Association of School Librarians (AASL). In 2018, she was awarded the Presidential Scholarship from the Executive Women of New Â鶹´«Ã½.

In March 2019, Krista completed her doctorate in the Educational Technology Leadership Program at New Â鶹´«Ã½ City University. She is also an adjunct faculty member for the Educational Technology & Literacy Education Departments. She specializes in technology integration in schools and libraries. She is a graphic and web designer.
